In my blog “Finding your Fairy voice” I shared some key information about Fairy characteristics with you. Then we spoke about how to find your inner Fairy. All so that you could begin writing convincing letters from your dear friend behind the Fairy Door. In this blog I want to help you further. I am going to explain exactly how to write your first Fairy letter. Then, I have a little secret to share with you. I am going to whisper about exactly where you can get your hands on oodles of ready-written, ready to print Fairy letters for FREE!
How to write your first Fairy Letter
After you have installed your Fairy Door, Fairy letters are going to be the number one way in which you will build a relationship between your little one and their new Fairy Friend. After all, you now have your Fairy name and you have found your Fairy voice. All that is left to do is to put pen to paper.
Exchanging Fairy Letters with a Fairy Friend is one of the most simple but important joys your little one will get from their Fairy Door. Quite aside from the sheer pleasure of receiving Fairy Letters, I cannot begin to tell you the many and wonderful benefits that Fairy Letter writing will bring to your child in terms of their reading and writing development. Indeed this is a subject I am really passionate about and it deserves a post all of its own. If you are curious though, take a look at my first musings of the joy of receiving Fairy Letters in in my blog “You have Fairy Nice Mail!”
However, despite all the magical skills that we have learnt together so far, actually writing that first Fairy Letter is still a daunting task. So I have here a few little top tips for you:
Begin your Fairy Letter with a Fairy Nice introduction
We start all new relationships with a little introduction, don’t we. So first, state your Fairy’s name and then perhaps a little about herself.
Give some insight into everyday life in Fairyland
You might like to say what your Fairy has been up to behind the Fairy Door in Fairyland this week. This is where your Fairy voice will start to creep in. Remember the questions we asked ourselves to find our Fairy voice. What does your Fairy Friend like to do during the day? I’ll be giving you a little more help with this in another blog, so make sure that you check back regularly.
Now drop in some references that will convince them their Fairy is real
This is all very nice, but some children need a little more convincing that there is really somebody living behind that beautiful Fairy Door or Magic Elf Door. They say that “seeing is believing”, but in this case I prefer the premise “BEING SEEN is believing”. Although your little one cannot see their Fairy Friend, the Fair Folk are always watching over them. So, drop in a little reference to something that your child has done or said that day to let them know that their magical pals were there.
When you write your first Fairy letter it is just the beginning of a magical adventure
Fairy Letters are going to be the key to convincing your little one that their is life behind their Fairy Door. But nobody wants to travel Friendship Street alone, even in Fairyland. Toward the end of your Fairy Letters always encourage your child to write a note in reply and therefore begin a conversation. To do this you must make sure that as often as you offer up some information about Fairyland, you also ask a question. For example:
But I know that writing Fairy letters may seem like a daunting task
Believe me, my sweet, I do know that at first, writing Fairy Letters may well feel a little daunting. You’ll be wondering whether you really have it in you to bring this tiny magical creature to life – both in terms of imagination and (let’s be honest!) effort. But let me assure you that once you begin, you will find that it all begins to flow. Your Fairy personality will blossom and grow. The more Fairy Letters that you write, the clearer her identity will become. In your child’s replies you will find the guidance for your next Fairy Letter or your next Fairy Door scene. You will gradually discover what sort of fun will delight them both.
There are two gifts I can give you that will help
But I am not so cruel as to throw you straight at the deep end, my lovely. To start you off I have asked my Fairies to each write a letter of introduction, personalised to your little one, that they will receive when you order your beautiful Fairy Door from our website. That’s right my love. Making magical connections with tiny humans is so important at The Fairy Nice Trading Company, that we send a personalised letter from the Fairies with every single one of our beautiful Fairy Doors or Magic Elf Doors.
When you purchase your Fairy Door all you need to do is fill in your child’s information where prompted and the Fairies will do the rest.

When will my fairy visit me? Can I meet her?
Fondest Fairy Blessings, Celeste! There’s a good chance that your Fairy friends have already visited you. However, Fairies are extraordinarily shy and so you will never actually see her. But look out for little signs she’s around: sounds you can’t quite explain or a sense that someone is close, as well as white feathers or petals on your path.
