How to help a little one when your Elf goes home at Christmas

We’ve had so much fun with visiting Elves and Christmas Fairies over the last month. However that dreaded time when your Elf goes home is drawing ever closer. Many little ones will be utterly distraught. I daresay even one or two Mums and Dads will feel a little bereft. So, what if I told you that the fun did not have to stop on Christmas Eve? What if there was a way to keep that little bit of magic in your home all year round, and without the intensive creativity demanded by “Elf Month”?

In this blog I am going to share my magical secret with you. Then I am going to give you an extra special little gift. So read on my sweet …

An Elf is just for Christmas, right?

December is a jolly month of fun and frolics with your Elf friend. Each night, when your little ones close their eyes, they can barely sleep for imagining all the wonderful things that your Elf will get up to. In the morning, they jump out of bed wide-eyed and eager to see the magical scene that awaits them.

What will that cheeky little chap have been up to in the night? Has he played a trick? Has he got himself in a bit of bother?

Perhaps there is a message from Santa! Is it a reminder to be good? Is he thrilled with their behaviour? Has he got them a little treat to say “Well Done”?

But, Elves arrive on  1 December and return to the North Pole on the 24th… Don’t they?

Goodness me! I hear an an awful lot of this nonsense talk at this time of year. The very idea that an Elf is just for Christmas! I wonder, just what do those that perpetuate this cruel myth suppose those poor dears do for the rest of the year?

From experience I can tell you that the sight of a lonely and unoccupied Elf is terrible indeed. You see, an Elf has so much energy and if not put to good use it causes all kinds of mischief about our Fairy Nice Workshop. I imagine you would say the same of your children too, if they were only allowed to have fun for one month of the year!

What to do when your Elf goes home after Christmas

An Elf has so much more to give than Christmas fun alone

And what about you, lovely? Who will you turn to when your tiny humans are being a little “spirited”? For the past month your Elf has watched over the children, reporting back to Santa, issuing the odd note of praise or gentle warning. What happens when those magic little eyes are no longer watching?

Goodness knows we all need allies in the constant battle for good behviour.

So invite the Elves back in

When you install a beautiful Fairy Door or Magic Elf Door in your home, you can enjoy both magical moments and an enchanted helping hand all throughout the year. This is both fabulous for the unemployed Elf and wonderful for you.

Your enchanted friend can visit to celebrate other festivals and magical milestones. They may deliver little rewards for achievements or exemplary behaviour. Perhaps a little one is having some difficulties and needs a little encouragement or cheering up? Your Fairy Folk pal is always willing to lend an ear, offer consolation or share a joke. When hard words need to be said, well, who better to soften the blow.

But does that sound like an awful lot more hard work?

I know what you are thinking though. How can I create Elf Magic all year round and honestly, do I really want to? It can be exhausting managing just 24 days of the year!

And that, my dear heart, is where The Fairy Nice Trading Company can step in. Whenever you purchase a beautiful Fairy Door or Magic Elf Door from us you will automatically become a member of our secret Fairy Circle.
